2020 Mazda CX-30 Specs, Interior, Exterior & Features
Mazda unveils a new SUV at the Geneva Motor Show, the 2020 Mazda CX-30. It is positioned between the CX-3 and the CX-5 in terms of size and should, like the Mazda 3, accommodate the revolutionary Skyactiv-X engine.
The Mazda CX-30 will not be easy to recognize on the street. Its front is almost identical to that of the CX-5, and its overall style, very faithful to the manufacturer’s codes, hardly stand out from the rest of the range. If the “Kodo” design has greatly contributed to the renewal of the Japanese brand and its appeal, it would be wise not to fall through the “copy and paste”, which affects the personality of each model and ends up tired the car drivers.
Inspired by the achievements of German premium manufacturers who multiply the silhouettes of SUV at will, Mazda stylists have however treated the rear “SUV coupe” way, a type of body that seduces more and more motorists. The rear optics are new. In terms of gauge, this SUV is between the CX-3 and the CX-5, with 4, 39 m long, 1.79 m wide and 1.54 m high. He is thus lengthened by 120 mm compared to his little brother CX-3.
2020 Mazda CX-30 Interior
The interior adopts all the developments inaugurated by the new compact Mazda 3 (design, infotainment, instrumentation and steering wheel). Under the hood, the CX-30 will include the Skyactiv-X engine , combining the revolutions of a gasoline group with the sobriety of a diesel. To comply with the new European standards, all gasoline units will adopt a light hybridization system to reduce CO2 emissions. The 2020 Mazda CX-30 may be equipped with the “I-Activ AWD” all-wheel drive.
In terms of driving aids, we find in particular the driver vigilance monitoring system, as well as a blind spot monitoring device. Passive safety is ensured by a 30% high-strength steel body structure, a knee airbag and an energy-absorbing hood to protect pedestrians in the event of an impact.
